Kent Homes Opens Design Center – January, 2008

Kent Homes is proud to have opened their Design Center at 1721 Allens Lane in Wilmington, NC. The Design Center allows Kent Homes’ clients one-stop shopping for all their home options— including cabinets, countertops, mantles, lighting, plumbing, flooring and appliances. Having all options under one roof greatly simplifies the selection process for clients, eliminating the time-consuming task of driving to various showrooms.

Kent Homes leads Habitat Builder Blitz in Wilmington

Kent Homes is joining the nationwide effort to build hundreds of homes across the country in the “National Builder Blitz” between May 31 and June 5, 2008. Dan Kent of Kent Homes is leading the event locally, working with the Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Wilmington and other area builders to construct three homes in just one week. Each construction company will be donating its time and resources in order to provide a home at virtually no cost to Habitat.

Kent Homes a frequent winner of Gold and Silver Honors in Local Parades of Homes

Dating back to 1997, Kent Homes has consistently garnered top-tier awards in the local Parade of Homes showcases. Recent honors have included a Gold Award for the $550,000-and-up category in 2004, and both Gold and Silver awards in 2006 for homes in the Fairhaven community within Landfall. The Gold Award for best home in its category went to the Hall Park model, and the St. Anne’s model won the Silver Award in the same category.

Fairhaven winds down

Fairhaven, known to be one of Landfall’s most successful communities, is nearly sold out. Located adjacent to the 5th and 6th holes of the Pines section of the Jack Nicholas-designed Country Club of Landfall golf course, Fairhaven offers a collection of European villas especially designed for the community.

Custom Builders of North Carolina now has more than 30 builder members and combined revenue of more than $100 million. Founded by Dan Kent of Kent Homes in 2005, the company is a purchasing group that uses its combined purchasing power to negotiate prices with vendors and suppliers, allowing local companies to compete on a more even playing field with larger regional and national builders.
