We decided to build a home 600 miles from our current home in New Jersey, expecting that
we will probably not be able to be on top of everything that is going on, and probably worrying and fretting over what we are not seeing. Our friends and neighbors and family too, if not outright saying it at least implying that we are simply out of our minds. Well let me tell you about Kent Homes. After researching a number of builders and looking at their work, and really most importantly meeting the people we would be working with, our minds were put at ease. Our first contact, Tim Burleson was absolutely outstanding. He knew their products inside and out. He ascertained what we were looking for, and showed us how it could be done. And everything we wanted could be done and he found a way. The details in designing a home can be overwhelming; however Kent Homes has this thing called a Design Studio. Wow....never thought it would be possible to pick and choose every single option in a 2 day visit from out of town. With the able assistance of Carol Hobbs we were able to put together the home of our dreams. Once we got started the project was put into Frank D'Andrea's hands and off we went. Frank set up conference calls every other week to let us know what was happening. He posted photos on the web for our viewing. This was most gratifying, as we were able to see our home rise from foundation to completion. Of course there is the obligatory walk thru for finding those problem issues. Let me tell you, Kent Homes' attention to detail and quality workmanship leaves very little to be rectified. In fact the majority of issues were so minor I did not even notice, the crew of Kent Homes would not let any imperfection pass no matter how minor. We are now in our home and are still in awe of the job that was done. For anyone considering Kent Homes as their builder, let me ask you a question. Do you want your home done, on budget, on time, with the finest workmanship, and the best people to work with? If so Kent Homes is yourbuilder. I know they are ours and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Our experience with Kent Homes has been exceptional, starting from the very beginning.
The introduction, sale, home selections, building and follow-through has all been wonderful. We lived over 1400 miles away from Kent’s office, but it never felt that way! Everyone was flexible and accommodating to us. They helped us take care of the many, many details along the way! We had never built a house before and our experience was a great one! Everyone on Kent’s staff was not only professional but also very pleasurable to work with! Our Project Manager, Frank, was without a doubt the best thing about our experience. Communication was excellent! We have great trust and confidence in him!

We interviewed several builders before selecting Kent, and we are so glad we did! While other people have told us horror stories about building, it simply didn’t happen with Kent!

Choosing a Kent Home proved to be a solid decision. We had seen several of your model homes, and were very impressed with your attention to design and construction detail. My wife hates the shopping portion of the building process, so your design center was just the ticket for us. She was actually able to pick out everything for our house in less than 2 days. That was a real convenience for us but would be even more so for those folks who live out of town. Your Project Manager was a pleasure to work with. He was on top of the project from day one and his attention to quality details made us feel very comfortable. He understood our desired building schedule and he made it happen. My husband and I bought our lot in St. James in 2002. Over the years, we looked at many homes by different builders. Finally we settled on Kent Homes after friends recommended them. We were very impressed with the home that Kent had built for them. From the beginning we always felt that Kent Homes was above reproach in dealing with the budget for our home. We truly believe that their goal was to make us, the homeowner, happy. Throughout the building process, we communicated with the on-site supervisor weekly and were provided pictures on-line as the house progressed. If there were any glitches, Kent handled the problem with fairness and very professionally to get it resolved. The Design Center in Wilmington provided almost one-stop shopping to make the selections for the house instead of running all over town, as we had done before in another home. What a great experience we had with Kent Homes! From the beginning when we were choosing a builder, there was never any pressure as with other contractors..
One might think that not being on-site for the construction process would present problems. Not so. The design staff was wonderful, from sending me countless samples to spending hours on the phone with me. We had constant contact with the project manager while the house was being built and everything came out exactly as planned. No "bad surprises"! I would recommend Kent Homes to anybody.
